The Delhi Metro aims to change the way people travel not just in Delhi, but in the whole of India. Its sleek, shiny and air-conditioned trains are heralding a “new era”, of mass urban transportation in the country.
And it’s setting its sights high – aiming to have the highest number of stations with the longest metro system in the world, even surpassing London’s 150 year old tube in length, all within just a few years.
It’s now going through Phase III of its expansion.
But while building at the Nehru Place metro station, it hit a snag. Some of the steel couplers became misplaced during building, and we were brought in to see what could be done.
