ON!Track provides frequent releases and updates to the web and mobile software applications in order to continuously improve and add new functionality for its users. Find all the details about each software release below.

3.4 Web & Mobile App Patch Feb-20

Multi-Edit Assets - With ON!Track v3.4, customers can edit certain fields of assets, commodities and consumables in bulk.

Also deployed the following Bug Fixes:

Improved system stability and monitoring
Improved mobile app performance for customers with vast asset parks
Faster and more stable loading time of the Active Tracking map
Increased reliability of Active Tracking for asset registration and map updates
Improved Active Tracking map update back-end algorithm
Improved Active Tracking logs quality available on user devices
Improved consistency and experience between Android and IOS
PDFs not opening in IOS solved with a work-around
Improved the E-mail Alerts system in order to avoid sending notifications for customers regarding retired assets
Improved PDF Delivery Notes format to avoid the information becoming scrambled (i.e. text overlapping with other text)
Improved transfer page in conjunction with scanning/adding the same asset again (causing the count of assets to mismatch)
Fixed web issue of wrong attachments being download after sorting attachments and attempting to download one

3.3 Web & Mobile App Patch Oct 2019 Auto confirm In-Transit Assets returning to Default Location - Certain users (such as Warehouse Managers with corresponding permissions) automatically have In-Transit assets confirmed when transferring them back to their Default Location.
3.2.7 Mobile App Patch July 2019 Increased the amount of barcode types supported by the new scanning technology, which allows you to accurately scan much faster, at wider angles and under different light conditions.
3.2.5 Web and Mobile App


June 2019

When transferring assets, the “To Location” is now mandatory. When changing it, the “To Employee” field is updated with the location manager of the newly selected location.

Also deployed the following Bug Fixes:

  • The date sorting of the transfer history on the asset side panel is now fixed.
  • We brought back the Minimum Stock Level column option in the grid selector.
  • Drastically improved the performance of the mobile Edit Quantity screen when transferring to/from hundreds of locations.
  • The background scanning for active tracking is now updating the geolocation of affected assets.
  • We improved active tracking compatibility with multiple phone models.
  • At times an asset was shown twice in a list but this no longer occurs.
  • Error messages were made more understandable.
  • When deleting scan codes on Hilti assets they will now be properly deleted from the system.

3.0 Web & Mobile app Major Release June 2018

Hilti ON Track 3.0 release highlights:

• Transferring Consumables/Commodities: To improve transparency and better usability while confirming delivery on mobile the From location and the quantity are shown.

• Request a Tool Repair: Select your tool from ON!Track and click on the “wrench button” to request a repair via Hilti Online.

• Category & ID Management: Re-design of the Asset Details section for more ease of use and transparency.

• Alerts: We’ve re-worked how the various alerts being generated to improve and fix their reliability.

• Service Templates: Updating service intervals on template level now updates all Assets service intervals which mapped to the service.

2.9 Web & Mobile app
Major Release March 2018

Hilti ON!Track 2.9 release highlights:

•Friendly Names: Now you can also give friendly names for your Consumables and Commodities!
•Service History: Edit your tool's service history at any time, so you can keep correct track of it!
•Asset Templates: Add attachments like user manuals or certificates to your Asset templates, so whenever you add a new tool of this kind it will have it as attachment!
•Transfer Cart: See your tool's description when you are transferring it in the transfer cart! (Added Description column to the transfer cart)

2.8 Web & Mobile app Major Release
October 2017

Hilti ON!Track 2.8 release highlights:

•View and download asset attachments on the mobile app – always have your user manuals and checklists ready.
•Add attachments to employee certificates: Certificates can be renewed, have attachments and their complete history viewable on the web.
•Employee picture: Option to upload a profile picture of every user on the web.
•Minor improvements and enhancements: Improved services asset upload template, clear return/fleet/rental due alerts, ability to rename asset templates, improved transfer history visibility.

2.7 Web & Mobile app
Minor Release July 2017

Hilti ON!Track 2.7 release highlights:

•Service Due emails were being sent for no reason – fixed.
•Improved error messages with more information.
•Scan code and Serial Number now show in Service Due emails.
•Error CIR001 when completing a service has been fixed.
•You can now choose service dates in the past.

2.6 Web & Mobile app
Major Release June 2017

Hilti ON!Track 2.6 release highlights:

• A complete re-design of the reporting section on the web application to make reporting faster, easier, and more efficient.  
• Grid views can now be saved as favorites to eliminate the re-creation of frequently used views.  
• More service info is shown and it is possible to also close services directly on the mobile app.
• The login details on the mobile app are now remembered so that a login is not required every time the ON!Track app is opened.   
• Many additional enhancements and bug fixes.      
• Five new languages are now supported: Hungarian, Slovenian, Bulgarian, Romanian, and Russian

2.5 Web & Mobile app


Major Release March 2017

Hilti ON!Track 2.5 release highlights:

•  Track asset ownership and responsibility securely with the revamped confirm delivery feature (including a signature field on the mobile app).
• View the most recently completed services along with their attachments directly on the mobile app.
•  Additional information on Hilti specific assets and data has been implemented and is viewable in the web app.
• Global searches in the web app has been improved for large customers with over 5,000 assets or locations.
• The resolution of some synchronization inconsistencies and other minor bug fixes were completed. 
• Three new languages are now supported: Czech, Slovakian, and Turkish Web App Patch Nov 2016 The web patch fixed the following issues:
• Errors in the check inventory and transfer reports
• Behavior of the responsible employee field during asset transfers

2.3.2 Web app

With this patch important columns were brought back in the asset and location grid that were removed with the V2.3 release. The list of returned columns are:
• Fleet Cost Center, Cost Code, Extended Warranty, Fleet Organization Reference Number, Location Cost Center, Purchase Order Number, Rental Start Date, Rental Tool Claim, Template Name, Vendor

2.3.1 Mobile app

The mobile release from V2.3 was delayed one week and is now available as version V2.3.1.

Hilti ON!Track version 2.3 release highlights:
• Upcoming maintenance is now announced directly within the ON!Track software so that all users are able to plan better around the availability of the system. 
• New grid functionality has been implemented to improve performance on the speed of the data loading.
• Improvements and optimizations have been made in terms of performance and search capabilities.
• The latest release documentation can be reached with a link from the ON!Track “support & info” page in the software.
• When adding an asset on the mobile it is now possible to also add asset notes, a friendly name, and an asset group.
• Restocking consumables has become easier with the ability to select and restock multiple consumable types within one transaction.
• There is a new box to highlight where the barcode scanning should take place to speed up the scanning process.
